I wanted to go to the Sasquatch Music Festival but never made it. Kinda wishing I had ...

I'm all about the record holders of weird and wonderful things and Bryan Berg caught my attention with his 25 foot tall card house of Gotham City.

The guys from Lost at E Minor started 'My Secret Playlist,' a site on which musicians are asked to list their favourite songs. Artists involved so far include French Kicks, Donna Summers, The Dandy Warhols, Girl Talk and The Presets.

Guru is running a photo contest of street portraits.

We're pretty excited to have Le Club de la Mode contributing to the SNAP! site! Fahad Asvt will be out shooting across Montreal so keep an eye open (just one) and dress to impress. Look to the right and check the SNAPPED section for style updates.

I just watched this great music video by Winnipeg artist Marcel Dzama. It's amazing and after a little google-ing I came across some of his other images. Cool, very cool.

Somehow I got to the end of this slightly comical take on various trends of facial hair.  What I personally  noted from the following commentary is this:  there are no pictures, commentary or judgments on the simple mostauche. 

The National Parcs of Montreal are a uniquely talented group of musicians, using samples of sounds made by raw materials found in the bush.   I wanted to post this in case you haven't heard of them.   Because you should have.

What was most recently an American Apparel store on lower St Laurent is currently a vacant retail space.  I'd walked past the empty store front in daylight and hadn't really looked twice at the windows. Covered in a scratched black out, the store front is unassuming by day, but by night these windows looks phenomenal.

Hooray for Yard Sales!  One man's trash really is another's treasure.  Like this old water-colour of a boat I picked up last week.  I've been looking for one of those for ages. 

This girl is to sue her tattoo artist after recieving 56 star tattoos over her face instead of the 'three' she requested.  Moral of the story is... dont fall asleep while getting a tattoo?  Um..

Oh man, I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Take a look at this ever-so elaborate dance to the Sound of Music in Belgium. Who wants to get together and re-create? Eh?

We sent SNAP! Magazine issue 7 to print early this week and have spent the last few days convalescing. Site updates have suffered but rest assured that we're back in business!  For now, get out there and enjoy this balmy Montreal night!

The first day the show floor was open was a busy one.  Nintendo and Sony both had their press conferences in the morning and at noon the show floor opened up.  By three o'clock I had walked around and seen everything but had no time to play anything. 

Brody Condon is an American artist making weird fantastic sculptures and video game based video art. By crawling inside video games Condon is able to make the necessary modifications to send one flying through an endless vortex of Elvises- - - or create digital re-interpretations of Late Medieval Northern European religious paintings .

Hippies, as we know, are all about not showering and wearing the same clothes until they're more patch than original material.   Generally masters of mending, darning and rolling blunts, the modern day hippie is a wealth of practical knowledge. 

My 8 am flight from Montreal was nearly half full of perky Ubisoft and EA montreal developers.  The conversations ranged from E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) predictions to debates about game mechanics.
