Just stumbled upon this interesting musical map. It places similar artists together with each linked to Last FM -  so you can take a listen. A nice idea and a cool way to discover new bands. Check it.

I'm really loving these illustrations by Argentinian Leandro Castelao. Nice.

She designs, makes, patterns, draws, sews, shoots, models, dances, bombs, travels, speaks four languages including German, Indonesian, French and English, entertains, paints murals... in fact, I'm not sure why I didn't start with what she doesn't do. Maybe sit on the couch eating crisps?  Actually, I think she probably does that too.  Damn, woman!

Kumi Yamashita places metal and wood objects, reflects lights onto them, creating people out of the shadows. Pretty neat.

Submissions for the BP Portrait Award 2010 competition close February 14th. Finalists will be displayed in the British National Portrait Gallery with first place walking away with a cool £25,000.

Loving these Phat Knit furniture designs by Dutch company Bauke Knottnerus. Cosy.

There are so many random contests and competitions and sites out there on the interwebs. Just came across this one by Modernica which made me chuckle.

I really like the idea behind this shoot for the Adam Kimmel Fall/Winter 2010/11 range. What better way to have a good poker face than with a mask? Plus, the clothes are pretty damn cool.

Ha ha - this guerilla movie marketing campaign by Ikea is pretty genius.
