Caroline Mauxion

French-born photographer and mixed media artist Caroline Mauxion has contributed to SNAP! over four issues now, her first submission appearing in the Fall 2010 issue. That series was comprised of a collection of photos commemorating the first kisses of six separate couples. Caroline used wool and pins to trace out each partner's name and then photographed the place where that moment was shared. The series was a highlight in the issue, which explored the concept of 'My First' as it's theme. Caroline's second contribution was in issue 13, which focused on icons and references from our most recent decades. More recently, Caroline shot the cover of our Double D's issue, and in issue 15 she brought together two series into one story, and titled it Metamorphosis.
Caroline has been published in a number of other magazines including Vogue Japan and Le Monde 2.
