Art Matters

'On-line' comes as another part of Concordia's Art Matters festival. It features the work of artists obsessed with lines, hence the name.

'Lines can be used as a means of description, expression or as a fundamental step of the process. From the line of a pencil to the materiality of a line such as a thread, the artists explore the importance of line in their practice.'

Ctrllab presents 'Fragmented' as part of Concordia's Art Matters festival. Jenny Schade, Valerie Sangin, Alexandra Mills and Jasmine Bakalarz will be presenting their work.

Ali & Ali comes as another event in the Concordia Art Matters festival. It is a performance -installation by Ali El-Darsa as part of the 'Energy Electric Performance' currated by Cassandra Witteman.

7 Concordia art students present 'Imaginary Space' - their take on personal experience and reflections. The stuff looks awesome so be sure to check it out.

And so begins another of Concordia's Art Matters festival. 'Art' will happen across Montreal dealing with issues such as gender, identity, HIV/AIDS, private / public space and the environment.

Artists will range from Intermedia Cyberarts (IMCA), Fibers, Theatre, Dance, Studio Arts, Art History and Humanities.
