It's time again for another Komodo show this week at the SAT. As always, the show brings a combination of audio and visual treats from Montreal and the world to the SAT stage.
This is personally my most anticipated show since the time I drove six hours to see Tool play when I was 14. Ten years later, and a decade of music education, I now feel the pull of the electronic scene over a metal show. Indeed, Montreal's electronic scene is clearly thriving. There are so many local producers unafraid of experimenting and an abundance of open minded audiences to play out to.
Komodo shows are always an experience. Indigenous instruments from far away lands, headliners from Japan to San Fransisco, vocals over vinyl and fire poi dancing, this is not just another DJ event.
