Here is a second chance for all Concordia art students who were rejected by the 'Art Matters' festival. Welcome to 'The Salon des Refuses.'
The rules are simple. Rejectees: send your work in to cyposia@gmail.com by March 24th. Le Social is proud to host the event which will run from April 12th.
Work can be in the form of paintings, prints, photographs, fiber projects etc. (basically whatever hangs on a wall). So get scratching and send away!

We have an outstanding line-up of artists: Maha Al-Sahaf, Courtney Archer, Sarah Casson, Maya Czajkowski, Katheryne Desplanque, Laura Findlay, Dimo Ivanov, Neah Kelly, Willy Mak, Kirsten McCrea, Antonia Pappas, and myself (Summer Geraghty).
Le Social, a gorgeous and cooperative downtown venue, has had the benevolence to help us out with this project. Le Social (1445 Bishop Street, above Ste.Catherine) has ample wall space and an elegant décor that will make you feel welcome.
This event will take place Saturday, April 12th to the 26th, 2008, the vernissage being Friday, April 12th, from 7 until 10 pm.
