Stancyl-3 is a dedicated artist with a mad fantastic style. Promptly becoming a SNAP! salon favourite, S.3 has his fingers in so many pies you can barely shake his hand for the pastry. With talent and inspiration constantly pouring out of every orifice (depict THAT, Max), S.3 is always creating phenomenal pieces and ideas, displayed at various locations around Montreal and further.
With so many works on the go, it is hard to pin down S.3's style, but his painting and 3D work tends to be street inspired, with a realist edge. He recently dominated the Artec the snowboard design competition at Snowboard Jamboree '09 with this design, coming in top 5.
The design pictured above was created for Electro-Techno act Alice And The Serial Numbers, you can see it on the Stancyl3 project website here. over the caption:
"...I made the portrait of Alice. For this release, I brought $40 worth of Candy, which consists of lots of Smarties. Designing this tasted good..."
Which made us giggle.
