Wooden Sky to play Montreal

Toronto folk rock band Wooden Sky have recently released their second album and are set to play Montreal.
Their debut album released in 2007 "When Lost at Sea" garnered them national critical praise, college radio play, a live performance on MTV, tours with Canadian indie rock royalty live Julie Dorion, a spot at Osheaga Festival and an In Session performance on CBC Radio 3. Their second album "If I Don't Come Home, You'll know I'm Gone" has been written and recorded in late 2008 and early 2009 in cramped apartments between Toronto and Montreal, starting out at Montreal's legendary Hotel2Tango with producer Howard Billerman (Arcade Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor) and then at Toronto's Lincoln Country Social Club with Chris Stringer (Ohbijou, Timber Timbre, Rush). This album is a massive undertaking that sweeps through rock and roll subgenres with the deftness of the Allman Brothers, the songwriting focus of Wilco and the experimental sonic cacophony of the Flaming Lips. With this new record, the Wooden Sky are poised to push "folk rock" into something new, exciting and earnest!
