Yeah, I know, more dubstep. I'm sorry. But have you heard it? On big speakers? It gently rumbles your belly right out of your body, appealing to the most primitive of urges: eat, sleep, fornicate, dubstep.
Luke Envoy is doing big things in the UK dubstep massive, and keeping the genre fresh with interesting production and wicked live shows. Montreal is privileged to be getting this man in such an intimate setting.
Supporting Envoy will be some of Montreal's best talent in the genre; subfm's HGDLT, Montreal dubstep poster boy Living~stone and recently inherited Hali import Construct. None of whom, I have ever seen play anything less than world class, banging sets.
Envoy :)

Hehe. I read this post while listening to a set that Luke Envoy recorded for the Mary Anne Hobbs' program on the BBC (there's a link from the Facebook page for tomorrow's Bass Drive event).
Seriously though, don't be afraid to proclaim your love of dubstep from the rooftops. I haven't been so excited about a sub-genre of music as I am about dubstep, and I preach its virtues to anyone who will listen. I can't wait for tomorrow's show! On that topic, is a SNAP crowd going? I can't tempt any of my friends to come with me and I'd rather not enter the fray all alone...
Sadly, team dubstep from SNAP! is out of Montreal for the week (worst week ever to leave, Luke Envoy tonight, Massive passport tomorrow, Konkrete Jungle on Friday and Saturday TAAL MALA. Gah! Taal Mala!)
But so excited for you! See if you can convince some other SNAP! kids. Hannah? Shayl? You know you love it.
