Free Iran

We've been following the situation in Iran pretty closely and watching as it steadily worsens. Damn. Get out and show your solidarity and support for Iranians as they fight for freedom. Makes you realise just how much we take for granted.

Every night a vigil is held from 9-10pm at Dorchester Square. 

As I write this Iran is an extreme state of turmoil. Our brothers, sisters and friends are walking the streets of Tehran and other cities in Iran to demonstrate their disappointment about the results of the recent election. Unfortunately too many lives have already been lost in the course of what started as a peaceful demonstration. Iranian people MUST have the right for peaceful demonstration. People in Iran have asked that Iranians and non-Iranians support their cause throughout the world. Now it is our turn to support them, to give them strength, and to show them that some of the most powerful marches in our history were the peaceful ones. So please join us at Dorchester Square (Peel street - just south of Saint Catherine) for a peaceful assembly. Leave your anger, political agenda and slogans at home. Bring a candle and help us support and encourage our friends in Iran to continue our collective fight for change. (Facebook event).
