Music fans paid to create music videos

genero.tv.jpg

Genero.tv is a new site which calls music fans to create music videos for their favourite bands. The first call opened yesterday with 16 songs up for grabs.

To get involved - simply join, download the song and get filming! Once complete, videos are voted on by fans. 4 videos will be chosen - 2 by fans and 2 by a panel of judges. First prize is US$4,000. Runners up can win backstage passes, music workshops, and more.
Go and represent Montreal!

Bands involved in this first round include Aussies The Temper Trap and Birds of Tokyo as well as the Norwegian Casiokids. I had a quick listen and there are some pretty good songs! Entries close October 23rd.
