- Founded in 2008, The Rover is an on-line arts magazine providing new voices and fresh comment about Montreal arts.
This inaugural art fair will feature works by RBC prize-winning off-the-wall painter Wil Murray, iron sculptor Glen LeMesurier, internationally-recognized photographer Ewa Zebrowski and musician/artist Nadia Moss - more than 50 works by 11 artists.
Other painters include David Lafrance, Jane Stewart, Fiona Ackerman and French born and trained Isabelle Anguita. Ceramic artist Vera Vivante (NY state) will be showing her sculpted female heads and dresses; Berlin-based artist and filmmaker Gregor Hiltner will be represented by limited edition lithographs from his House of Asterion series.
Heidi Barkun will present found art - sculptures offering an ironic comment on gentrification, treating bits of discarded wood and steel like precious icons. Works on sale range from $75 to $3800, proceeds to be shared between Rover and the artists.
See you there!
