- KTL = a group of men with heads full of noise, heads full of sound, heads full of songs; 2 Montrealers and 1 New Brunswicker who start jamming in Toronto, 2004, who like stuff like My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Slowdive, Swervedriver, Talking Heads, The Smiths. KTL = a band who releases a first album, "Winter Asthmatics", on the cheap in 2005; a band who then adds two more Montrealers to become a 5-piece, a band who travels back and forth along the 401 for 2 years to play both scenes.
KTL gets signed to MapleMusic and re-releases "Asthmatics" with overdubs. The result is "Buffalo of Love," an album that makes "best-of" lists in places as diverse as Louisiana, Norway, western Canada. KTL tours and plays with K-OS, YSP!WSD!, A Place to Bury Strangers, Dragonette, Chairlift, Bedouin Soundclash. KTL moves back to their hometown of Montreal. KTL loses 1 member, settling in as a 4-piece. KTL preps their new album, "Fog Area," very carefully, widening an already large sonic palette. KTL records the album at Breakglass with Jace. KTL releases the album. KTL writes this bio, and you eventually read this bio. KTL releases new music in 2010. KTL continues to live, and is dreaming of beautiful sounds right now.
