Le POP Up Shop
5330 St. Laurent
Montreal, Quebec

We've got a big week ahead with Pop Montreal and Art Pop both kicking off! Be sure to check this vernissage for Art Pop with our favourite duo of Jason Harvey and Mike Farsky (Homosexual Cops who played our 9th issue launch party).

- Le POP Up Shop will focus on artists who utilize technology as a central tool.

Jason Harvey & Mike Farsky will present images from their new found grown-up jobs: working in New Brunswick's Premiere’s office.

Jon Rafman, who's work you can also catch in the exhibition Free this fall at the New Museum in New York, will be showing a video piece, Woods of Arcady.

Harm Van Den Dorpel, who's work you can also catch in the exhibition Free this fall at the New Museum in New York, will display his Ethereal Self and Ethereal Others websites, which function respectively as art object and critique of the internet as institution.

Bridget Moser combines magic technology (fetishes and reagents) with late-capitalist consumer grade technology (video cameras, monitors) to uncover the transcendent nature of a simple pile of logs.

Papa Gorille employs the anonymity of a mere pseudonymous Facebook account to critique Montreal’s music scene. (More info here).

POP Up Shop will be open daily September 29th-October 3rd from 12-7pm.
