Mutek

Montreal's electro music festival Mutek starts today! They have a pretty sweet line-up so if you haven't got tickets yet, get on that! Gold Panda, Amon Tobin, Poirier, Skinny Bones to name a few.

Mutek have an awesome website this year. Play around with the top banner - it's graphically awesome, you can make a calendar of events you want to see but better still - you can make and record your own song!

Another event that we're looking forward to at this year's festival is PERIOD - an interactive installation.  

- Jean-Sebastien Baillat, Guillaume Cardell and Daniel Iregui present PERIOD., a work that extends the experiential campaign developed for MUTEK 2011 and housed at MUTEK.ORG/PLAY. Projected against the facade of UQAM’s Centre for Design, this project weaves together PLAY’s visual blocks and sounds (conceived by Jean-Sebastien Roux) into a spontaneous tableau of inventive playfulness. Baillat and Cardell will integrate and create a series of new visuals to explore the potentials of the initial set of designs.
