Everyone's favourite festival Pop Montreal is just around the corner so strap yourself in for 5 days of music, art, fashion and more!

We're super proud to be co-hosting the Hippos in Tanks showcase. Talented artists involved are Ford & Lopatin (title image), d'EonCFCFSleep ∞ Over.

- Ford & Lopatin: Formerly known as Games, this duo mixes the atmospheric synthetics of the decade that gave us Section 25 and Gary Numan, with lilting vocal melodies and studio wizardry, making their debut, Channel Pressure, a favourite for fans of borth a more heady mindfuck and sophisticated dancefloor sequencers alike.

- d'Eon: We are endlessly entertained by the hearsay surrounding Chris d’Eon’s musical motivations. Neither monk nor wannabe member of Genesis, d’Eon’s singular genre-bending electronic pop reflects his benign and romantic character, as well as a curious appreciation for both Eastern tradition and early ‘90s R&B. “We can choose who we want to be.”

- CFCF: Mike Silver has long been the dark horse in contemporary electronic music, not beholden to the propulsive boom-boom/womp-womp of contemporary electro/dubstep, nor haunted by ghosts of IDM past, but instead a DX7 mystic visited by visions of Tangerine Dream soundtracks and a master of sine wave sublimity.

- Sleep ∞ Over: Yes, drugs make everything better, but even '80s synth cheese? Stefanie Franciotti’s Sleep ∞ Over (Sleep Over Forever) sounds somewhat like Kate Bush tripping on a deca-dose of cough syrup, blazing some deeply thick nerve-numbing, blissful dream-pop.
