Every day Nevver posts an image (a screen cap from a film) along with an mp3. The site is amazing - so simple and so well done.
I really enjoyed today's image from A Clockwork Orange paired with Black Marble's song 'Pretender.' What a great way to learn new music and hope that you're well-filmed enough to recognise the screen cap. SNAP! supports.
This music video was just released for Madonna's 'Give me all your luvin' - right in time for her appearance at the Super Bowl this weekend (why, oh why!?). I kinda hate Madge but am enjoining the cameos from both Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. ...
I'm really enjoying these handmade collages by law student / artist Dessi Terzieva. She sent them into You Might Like This who were kind enough to scan and share.
- "In the process of cutting pictures from old books/magazines, I get to know my characters and their story, ultimately to make them my own. By giving them a new reality, they give me a voice. Each collage is the equivalent of a diary entry - I am speaking to you and others, telling you how I feel, what I think, what I crave, and what I despise."
Isaiah Mustafa is no longer the face of Old Spice but his replacement Terry Crews is doing a good job! Watch him crash these 3 advertisements for other products - the last one in particular.
French artist Jocelyne Grivaud produced this series "Barbie, ma muse" re-creating famous pieces of art using Barbies.
- "One day, the idea of extending the happy part of my childhood through pictures I love took shape. Barbie is often criticized for being too blonde, too superficial, too skinny, too “ideal marketing”, too “this” and too “that”…. My aim was to adjust this so famous profile to different emblematic representations."
Peter Nidzgorski pulls together inspiration/moodboard/design blog This Isn't Happiness. It's a collection of photographs, images, quotes etc. and is updated over 200 times a week.
Be prepared to while away a few hours here ... And yes we have written about them several times before, ha ha.
Ha ha ha, this site looks pretty funny - Craigslist-style 'missed connections' but for planes!
- "Have you ever met that special someone on a plane but for whatever reason you didn't end up exchanging your contact details with each other and later regretted it?" Bummer! Without their name how are you going to search for them on Facebook?
If you're looking for them, and they're looking for you WeMetOnAPlane.com is your opportunity to search, find and connect with that special someone!"
We're liking the temporary tattoo collection from Tattly - all sorts of kitchy cuteness! The project is pulled together by Swiss Miss Tina Roth Eiesenberg.
- "Designy Temporary Tattoos. Who says forever is better?"
Food on my dog - a tumblr dedicated to a guy posting pictures of food on his dog Tiger. Very funny stuff. (Or maybe I just have a very immature sense of humour).
- "Commonly asked questions: Does she get to eat the food on her head?
Yes, she gets to eat most of the food. In some pictures (doughnut, birthday cake, crab legs, etc) she will receive a treat instead."
Jack White (the boy half of brother-sister duo The White Stripes) has been busy working on a solo album which will be out April 24th. It's called 'Blunderbuss' and here's the first single from it 'Love Interruption.'
It's always exciting seeing spring collections released when it's still cold out. We've got our eye on Australian label The Critical Slide Society which has now expanded north to Canada.
They have some great basic tees and tank tops - I can't wait till the warmer months...
Aussies (and Brits) often use the word 'mate.' This handy Australian guide should help you figure out what they mean, when they say it.
- "Round here, we say 'mate' a lot. Do yourself a favour, and learn to figure out when a bloke is about to buy you a drink, and when he's ready to put the boot in. He'll say mate either way, but how will he say it?"
Here are a few examples to get you started. Full list here.
It's tough having short little stubby arms and these illustrations by Hugh Murphy show us why. Poor lil guy. Soooo many joys in life that a t-rex will never fully experience.
T-Rex Trying: The Unfortunate Trials of The Tyrant Lizard King. Ha ha.
For those of you that don't know, Team SNAP! is made up of 2 Aussies living in Montreal. Today is Australia Day which back home means a good ole fashion BBQ and countdown to best song of the year on radio station Triple J.
It's one of our favourite holidays and is generally spent with friends, beer and summer sun. Given the hemisphere difference / time zones etc., the holiday has already happened with Gotye taking out first position for their awesome song 'Somebody that I used to know.'
So kick back and have a beer for us. Happy Australia Day y'all!
French brand Pull-In release 4 rounds of fresh lingerie every year. They work with a bunch of different fabrics and graphics and also have solid representation with BMX, ski, skate and surf teams.
Here is their ski crew. I was kind of hoping they'd be skiing only in underwear but hey ...
Behind Photographs by Tim Montoani looks really interesting and is a great concept, giving photographers their due.
- "Everyone has in mind the image of the man opposed to the tanks in Tiananmen in China in 1989. But how many knows the name of the author of this picture that became a symbol ? It’s from this observation that the American photographer Tim Mantoani presented in the early days of 2012 a book not to honor these historical photos, but to those who made them. “There was a void,” says Mantoani, “and all these photographers were not given enough credit.” Memory and historical recognition to these photographers often unknown by the public, some of which died during this project, “Behind Photographs” is a kind of mise en abyme, a recognition of the talent of these men that were able to capture those as fleeting as historic moments."
- "Parisian artist Nacho Ormaechea’s digital collages are like looking into someones soul to see who they really are, what they are truly thinking, and where they rather be.
Like a portal into another time and place, these images give us a glimpse of the internal thoughts that we’re all thinking to ourselves in silence, each and everyday."
A nice time lapse shot in New York City. I'm surprised the bike lasted as long as it did. I swear stolen bikes are the currency of Montreal and it wouldn't have lasted 48 hours.
Get a bike. Lock it to a post. Take a pic every day for a year.
Swedish Ulrika Kestere shot this beautiful series 'The girl with 7 horses,' based on a fairytale.
- "Once upon a time there was a girl who had 7 invisible horses. People thought she was crazy and that she in fact had 7 imaginative horses, but this was not the case. When autumn came the girl spent a whole day washing all her clothes. She hung them on a string in her garden to let the gentle autumn sun dry them. Out of nowhere, a terrible storm came and its fiercefull winds grabbed a hold of all her clothes and all seven horses (authors note: since they are invisible they obviously didn't weigh much). The girl was devestated and spent all autumn looking for each horse spread around the country, wrapped in her clothes."
Here is a little collection of memes for your amusement including third world success, scumbag Steve, success kid, annoying facebook girl and first world problems.

If you haven't given Lonely Island much of a double look, then get on this! Here are a bunch of the hilarious music videos from their album Turtleneck and Chain.
You've probably heard hits like I Just Had Sex and Jack Sparrow but take a look at some of their other songs featuring the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Seth Rogan.
Rachel Bilson has been copping a little flack for her role as a doctor in TV series Hart of Dixie (dreadful name I know). Anyway she's fighting back with this pretty well done rap 'Call me Doctor.'
- "Director Tony Kaye's (AMERICAN HISTORY X) long-awaited film DETACHMENT stars Academy Award(R) winner Adrien Brody as Henry Barthes, a substitute teacher who conveniently avoids any emotional connections by never staying anywhere long enough to form a bond with either his students or colleagues.
A lost soul grappling with a troubled past, Henry finds himself at a public school where an apathetic student body has created a frustrated, burned-out administration. In finding an emotional connection to the students but also to fellow teachers and a runaway teen, he finds that he's not alone in a life and death struggle to find beauty in a seemingly vicious and loveless world."

US Congress is set to pass online anti-piracy laws - the SOPA and PIPA bills.
The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is basically a black list. If an article published online uses a company's logo and the company doesn't approve of this, they can add that site to their hit list and pass this information on. The company can then cut off all payment processes to the site - the site will have 5 days to act before they are shut down.
PIPA (Protect IP Act) internet providers will have to block blacklisted websites. Search engines that list blacklisted websites will be faced with legal action. These 2 bills would give the US power to also bring down sites outside of the US - by forcing US-based companies / internet providers / credit card companies to cut ties with them.
Wikipedia is on a 24-hour blackout today (Jan 18th) to show what life would be without the super encyclopedia.
- "It is the opinion of the English Wikipedia community that both of these bills, if passed, would be devastating to the free and open web. Over the course of the past 72 hours, over 1800 Wikipedians have joined together to discuss proposed actions that the community might wish to take against SOPA and PIPA. This is by far the largest level of participation in a community discussion ever seen on Wikipedia, which illustrates the level of concern that Wikipedians feel about this proposed legislation.”
Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm quite the rockstar - I mean, who doesn't!? I've got a whole repertoire of awesomeness which looks fantastic in my bathroom mirror. Well, The Museum of Me is a site which helps propagate that rockstar image.
It connects with your Facebook account and then displays your life in a faux museum. It shows your friends, photos, hilarious comments you've made - all sorts of ego boosting goodness. To achieve ultimate self obsession, you can even add it to your Facebook profile. Air high five!
What movie should I watch tonight!? The age old question, ha ha. This site does a pretty awesome job with an endless supply of random trailers screening. If you don't like what you see, just click to view the next in line. You can also search by genre.
Date night/winter hibernation just got that much easier!

For any Game of Thrones fans out there, here is a condensed pixelated game version of the first book / series 'A song of ice and fire.' Ha ha ha. Spot on!
LA artist Madeline Schichtel’s 2011 life condensed to just over 1 second a day. She looks like a busy girl!
I should start one of these photo a day / film a day projects - seems like a good way to get yourself doing more exciting things. I mean, if your life is being documented, you don't wanna be sitting around in your pyjamas all day watching British comedy shows.
- "I shot a little video every day of 2011 on my Canon Powershot, then I edited it all down to a little over a second each. It's interesting to be able to look back on my year and remember these little moments. I love living in LA. I love the friends I've made. And I love seeing how much has changed over just one year being here. Sure, I guess now that I see it, I got sick and worked a lot this year (lots of driving, running around doing errands all day). But oh well, it's motivation for 2012!"
Lifetime Collective have been working with film kids Salazar for a few seasons now. The talented team shot this beautiful short in Iceland for Lifetime's FW12.
- "The story takes place a couple thousand (or so) miles from home, in Iceland, land of the never-ending night sky. A couple searches for warmth and light on an endless journey through a city and it's countryside.
Driving tirelessly through darkness in search of perfect daylight, only to watch it fade to orange and slip away again. We searched and discovered new ways to befriend this wonderful place, danced blind and drunk on the snowy streets of Reykjavik. We collaborated on the score with our friend and newest member of the collective Edo Van Breemen, who collected snippets of sound and lyrics from the landscape, transforming the entire journey into a recording studio. We worked together, played together, ate together, and (somehow) returned home together."
The third Monday in January has been named as the most depressing day of the year. The calculations are all a bit pseudo but basically relate to post-Christmas debt, failed New Year's Resolutions, wintery weather (Northern Hemisphere) and general malaise. Ha ha - happy today!
To combat the blues (and this freezing weather Montreal), we suggest you get yourself up on a hill for some quality 'Sound of Music' re-enactment. If this fails, booze up!
The Star actually released a nice 10-point plan to increase your happiness. All pretty obvious things but here they are spelled out.
1. Get away. Celebrate the original intent of the day and book a trip somewhere tropical and escape the cold.
Play hooky.
2. Call in sick, stay in bed and start the week off right on Tuesday instead. Our brain rebuilds its stockpile of mood-elevating hormones while we sleep.
3. Read more.
4. Invest in a sun lamp. It will help you stay alert during the sunless season. It is alsp known to boost mood for people with seasonal affective disorder.
5. Have some chocolate. Chocolate contains phenylethylamine, a mood-regulating chemical found in the brain.
6. If it’s serious, see an expert. Talk to a therapist or get a referral from your family physician so you can get professional help in dealing with what may be more than just the Mondays.
7. Get some. According to a U.K. study by the London School of Economics, people are happiest when they’re having sex. The study used an iPhone app to track contentment.
8. Get moving. The same study found people are often happy after exercise. The release of endorphins and other hormones helps elevate mood.
9. Get a massage. Women who get two short massages a week show significant reduction in anxiety and sadness. This is because touch causes a measurable change in brainwave activity. It makes people feel more relaxed.
10. Listen to some tunes. Studies have found that listening to music reduced stress-hormone levels up to 41 per cent."
Look at the Camera is a tumblr collection of stills taken from films. The images are snapped when the actor is looking into the lens and the resulting portraits are pretty amazing. There is a huge collection so set aside a little browsing time ...
Chris Bryan shot this during last year's Billabong Pro waiting period at Teahupoo, Tahiti. The waves are crazy! The film is awesome but it would be great to see at least one wave in real time, not in slow motion.
- "The French Navy labeled this day a double code red prohibiting and threatening to arrest anyone that entered the water.
Kelly Slater described the day by saying "witnessing this was a draining feeling being terrified for other people's lives all day long, it's life or death. Letting go of that rope one time can change your life and not many people will ever experience that in their life." Via Mpora
I've always wanted a pair of winged Jeremy Scott for Adidas sneaks. Scott's collaboration on the 'Originals' range continues - here is a look at some of the 2012 sneaker collection so far.
Oh man, this video is priceless and not just cause I'm an Aussie. Steven Bradley took out the first Australian gold medal in the Winter Olympics (2002) with this hilarious win in the speed skating. After the other 4 skaters crashed, Bradley waltzed past them for gold. He did the same in the semi-finals, ha ha ha ha!
I love the other guys throwing themselves over the line to sneak into silver and bronze.
- "Those guys were going too fast, they lost control. He deserves the medal, he was the one that stayed on his skates."
Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron designed the Beirut Terraces, which are due to be completed in 2013. The 'vertical village' will be made up of 130 living spaces - each of the multi-layers different from the other.
Each apartment will have it's own terrace with gardens and greenery breaking these up - offering privacy as well as providing shade and cooling the apartments. Wow, these look amazing! I can't wait to see the finished product!
This video has been kicking around for a while but still enjoyable to watch! British Jamie Francis Bell made the animation for an art course (he got full marks for it), sketching over 2100 pages. Impressive!
Wow the future of technology is a pretty exciting place! This small and inexpensive device (starts at $99) looks like the bees knees! Control the temperature in your apartment, get a shoutout when the laundry is finished - get your home appliances chatting and working together. Confused? Ha ha - watch this little video!
- "Twine is a wireless module tightly integrated with a cloud-based service. The module has WiFi, on-board temperature and vibration sensors, and an expansion connector for other sensors. Power is supplied by the on-board micro USB or two AAA batteries (and Twine will email you when you need to change the batteries).
The Spool web app makes it simple to set up and monitor your Twines from a browser anywhere. You set rules to trigger messages — no programming needed. The rules are put together with a palette of available conditions and actions, and read like English: WHEN moisture sensor gets wet THEN tweet "The basement is flooding!" We'll get you started with a bunch of rule sets, and you can share rules you create with other Twine owners."
Dorky looking white boys rapping about plaid? Ha ha - why not!?
- "To kick off our Plaid Forever show we created Plaid Rap! It is our message to the world that plaid is more than just a trend or something so called “modern”.'
Wes Anderson's film Moonrise Kingdom will be released May of this year. Set in the 1960's, the story follows two young kids (in love) who run away from their home in New England. It was written by Anderson along with Roman Coppola (Francis Ford's son).
The film has an all star cast with Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Ed Norton and more. Looks good.
Lil Wayne has signed with Grand Central Publishing to release a memoir of his 8-month stint in jail. The rapper was charged with attempted gun possession, and did his time at Rikers Island. The book will be called 'Gone Till November' and is based on diary entries.
It will be out November - should be an interesting read ...
- "I need heaps of gadgets cause I carry a shit gun. After killing my enemies I like to make shit puns ... Because I am sauve you can suck it. I'll ski on your lunch if I want. Take a stroll on the heads of some reptiles." Ha ha.
Whistler is running a competition to win a month-long sabbatical at the resort. Umm wow. Every Tuesday they are showcasing different experiences with the question - would you do it? Contestants have to respond to these, with judges looking at the quality of answers.

This week's question is: Would you spend the night with a groomer? (A guy on a snow plough smoothing out the fields).
The grand prize includes airfare, accommodation, transport, lift passes, ski / snowboard equipment, series of extraordinary experiences plus a salary for the month - so you can afford the time off work. Aghhh ... hells YES!
'Look Around You' is an awesomely ridiculous British show by Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowicz. It's a spoof science program and is so well done - so dry!
"Computers aren't just for boring things like writing poetry or organising a funeral."
"Maths stands for: Mathematical Anti Telharsic Harfatum Septomin.
Think of it as the language of numbers with
1=A 2=The 3=Hello 4=Please 5=Thank you 6=Goodbye 7=What 8=Classified 9=Classified 10=Man and so on."
Pleated Jeans have done a round-up of some of their favourite memes from 2011. They did a little 'where are they now' research and here are the results!
British comedians David Mitchell and Robert Webb are responsible for the hilarious 'Peep Show' (first few seasons are the best). They've also played around with a couple of skit shows, one of which was 'That Mitchell and Webb Look.'
Here are a few of their videos to get you through the afternoon.
Adidas shot this beautiful skate film in Montreal this September - the city looks awesome!
Skaters are Dennis Busenitz, Silas Baxter-Neal, Lucas Puig, Pete Eldridge, Benny Fairfax, Nestor Judkins, Jake Donnelly, Vince del Valle and Chewy Cannon.
- "We always select cities and countries where skateboarding and skate business is on the rise, and Canada overall is one of our best, growing markets. Criteria for choosing a city to skate in and gather content is based first and foremost on the quality, variety and accessibility of spots. Next we look at if that city is ‘blown out’ or if it has places to skate that are still unseen to many skaters. We try to pick cities that have inspiring spots. Montreal definitely was one of those.” - Jess Weinstein, Adidas global communication.
Type Books in Toronto released 'The Joy of Books,' a stop motion set in their store after hours. It was shot over 4 nights with more than 15 volunteers involved.
- "I think it's amazing. There were moments in the video that I gasped," said Joanne Saul, co-owner of Type. "The video says long live the book. It's not dead. It gets up and it dances."
Just watching it, makes me wanna curl up with a good book and a cup of tea. Props. There's nothing quite like a real book.

As soon as I make my millions, I'll start training my army of monkey butlers and I'll also get myself a nice little open plan house like this. No big deal.
Let me be inspired is a great architectural and interior design site for those times when you want to wistfully imagine yourself away.
- "You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
I'm sorry to say so
But, sadly it's true
That bang-ups and hang-ups
Can happen to you.
You can get so confused that you’ll start in to race
Down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
And grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,
Headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place… for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come,
Or a plane to go or the mail to come
Or the rain to go or the phone to ring,
Or the snow to snow, or waiting around for a Yes or No
Or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite
Or waiting around for Friday night
Or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake, or a pot to boil,
or a Better Break or a string of pearls,
Or a pair of pants or a wig with curls, or
Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.
No! That’s not for you!
Somehow you’ll escape all that waiting and staying.
You’ll find the bright places where Boom Bands are playing.
With banner flip-flapping, once more you’ll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
On and on you will hike, And I know you’ll hike far
and face up to your problems whatever they are.
You’ll get mixed up of course, as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
And remember that Life’s a great balancing act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.
Will you succeed?
Yes you will indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
Kid you'll move mountains
So... Be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ale Van Allen O'Shea,
You're off to great places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So... Get on your way."
Jay Z and Beyonce's daughter Blue Ivy Carter was born on the weekend. Jay Z released a track called 'Glory' ft B.I.C. (B.I.C. standing for Blue Ivy Carter) in tribute. You can actually hear the baby crying in the song, ha ha.

Cabin Time is a roaming artist residency program. The first rotation started just yesterday (Jan 8th) with a second chapter happening some time soon. The guys will be putting out a call for artists.
Oh man, I think we've all dreamt about getting away to nature for a few days to work on projects. Well here's your chance! There will be a gallery exhibition following each trip. Yeah, pretty epic. Get on this guys!
- "Cabin-Time is a series of intense art-making excursions to remote locations in Michigan and beyond. The project is loosely designed to be a focused creative experience, making site-specific and site-influenced artwork (personal and collaborative) in the company of your inspiring peers. The trip itself and its documentation are as integral to the project as the work being made."
Our friends over at Poler Stuff are sponsoring the program!
Spanish artist Luis Urculo recreates monumental architectural pieces in this video, using books and household items. Some of the buildings include The Guggenheim, Sears Tower and Fallingwater House.
- "Covers is an investigation about architecture as a consumption object or souvenir and its relation with the domestic non-specialized language of everyday things.
The work is a reconstruction and review of iconic monumental pieces of architecture whose image is built by objects to change the perception of this universal masterworks.
The concept is based on the music covers where the original is manipulated, re-represented, revisited to create something new. "
Australian / Belgian Gotye has been getting a lot of awesome international press lately, and rightfully so! He's a contender for this year's Hottest 100 (Aussie music countdown) with his song 'Somebody that I used to know.'
The original is awesome and now Walk off the Earth and Sarah Blackwood have covered it - the 5 of them playing the guitar together (both videos below).
If you're not super familiar with Gotye, he's definitely worth checking out! 'Hearts a Mess' (below) is also great.
Canadian Jeff Harris has been taking a self portrait every day since 1999. Pretty damn impressive and none of this nonsense with the same background in every shot. The project started out as a new years resolution - what an interesting way to keep a 'diary.'
Watch it all the way through - this guy is a bloody trooper!
Colorado-based brand Topo Designs are turning out some pretty awesome gear! It's now stocked at Montreal's Off The Hook as well as through their site. Check it.
- "Based in Colorado, the independently initiated project Topo Designs was founded by fishers, hunters, ski instructors, hikers, climbers, etc. seeking gear fit to their conditions and lifestyle. Topo Designs was conceived by the outdoors group on a trip to Winter Park, the idea materialized upon their return all pitching in to create the early prototypes of the bags we currently carry. Today their enthusiasm for outdoor gear and never ending quest for quality is portrayed through their quality goods. Topo has definitely come a long way from its initial start and has finally made its way to our shop. Pass by the shop to see our selection of bags to fit your needs."
Wow, baby cockatiels are crazy weird looking! Ha ha. This video tracks the first 30 days in a cockatiels life. Fascinating stuff.
- "Editor’s Note: The video includes a few “rough” words, the hatching of two cockatiel chicks, bird vomit, and popular music, all of which some people may find slightly gross. But if you can stomach the aforementioned, it is definitely worth watching!"
Swedish designer Viktor Hertz has re-worked a bunch of well-known logos, giving them 'honest' taglines.
- "An idea for a series with honest logos, revealing the actual content of the company, what they really should be called. Some are cheap, some might be a bit funny, some will maybe be brilliant. I don't know."
Advanced Style blog is always a great read. Ari Seth Cohen prowls the streets, capturing the awesome style of eccentric looking, well-dressed older women.
There are also a bunch of interesting video interviews. Props.
I hope I'm this awesome and this sassy when I'm older.
Miguel Endara drew a picture of his father, his hero, using 3.2 million ink dots. The video is pretty amazing - he must have had a pretty cramped hand by the end of it all.
We Are Wild is a photographic collective pulled together by New Yorker Josephine Demme. There are so many talented artists involved (including SNAP! contributor Ben Pobjoy) and so many beautiful summery photos on their site.
Portuguese street artist Vhils (aka Alexandre Farto) produced this piece for Nuart 2011. It's amazing to see the way he works backwards, pulling walls and surfaces apart.
- “With my work, I try to delve into the several layers that compose the edifice of history, to take the shadows cast by this model of uniform development to try and understand what lies behind it.”

Expect the impossible, ridiculous, insane, hysterical, and purely awesome! Coming to you in 3D, it will feel like you are riding shotgun with the crew.We get a boatload of questions every day asking when the movie will be released.
In truth, we don’t have a definitive release date yet but we’re getting closer. We hope it will be released sometime in the coming summer but the exact date still needs to be decided by the distributor. We are happy to say that 100% of the movie has been filmed and we’re deep in to post production, editing, etc. We can’t wait to show everybody the finished product because we have captured the biggest and best stunts we have ever attempted."
We wrote about talented young Aussie photographer Nirrimi before (here). She's posted a series of iPhone photos, capturing her life in 2011. She takes such dreamy shots - if you've not yet checked her site, I recommend doing so.
You can see more from this series here - complete with photo captions.

Belgium photographer Frieke Janssens shot this series 'Smoking Kids.'

The video highlighted the cultural differences between the east and west, and questioned notions of smoking being a mainly adult activity. Adult smokers are the societal norm, so I wanted to isolate the viewer's focus upon the issue of smoking itself. I felt that children smoking would have a surreal impact upon the viewer and compel them to truly see the acts of smoking rather than making assumptions about the person doing the act."
The XX are in the process of recording their sophomore album and have released this raw cut of Open Eyes. It's nice to hear some new stuff from the British teen wonder kids (are they still teens?). Can't wait until the album is out!
I've been test driving the Lomography Diana F+ the last couple of weeks. Not only do I look awesome on the streets (haha) but it's a lot of fun! It's exciting shooting on film again - getting them developed, never quite sure what you'll get back.
Here are a few of the shots taken so far. More to come! If you're in need of a Christmas gift, give a Lomo camera!
Opening Ceremony shot a 2-part series of Chloe Sevigny at home, to celebrate their new collaboration. They just released the second part - here they both are. Check her incredibly cluttered wardrobe!
The guys from Edvinsson Publicity have generously released an 11-song downloadable playlist. Merry Christmas y'all!
