Tim Mantoani - Behind Photographs

Behind Photographs by Tim Montoani looks really interesting and is a great concept, giving photographers their due.

- "Everyone has in mind the image of the man opposed to the tanks in Tiananmen in China in 1989. But how many knows the name of the author of this picture that became a symbol ? It’s from this observation that the American photographer Tim Mantoani presented in the early days of 2012 a book not to honor these historical photos, but to those who made them. “There was a void,” says Mantoani, “and all these photographers were not given enough credit.” Memory and historical recognition to these photographers often unknown by the public, some of which died during this project, “Behind Photographs” is a kind of mise en abyme, a recognition of the talent of these men that were able to capture those as fleeting as historic moments."
